ATHLONE TOWN CENTRE WINS PRESTIGIOUS ADVERTISING AWARD
Athlone Town Centre has become an award winning development even before its doors open for trade. The new development, which will open on Thursday 1st November was last week awarded The Irish Times Property Advertising Award for best retail advertising.
The awards, now in their fifth year, recognise creative and innovative print advertising within the Irish property market. The winning retail advertisement for Athlone Town Centre was designed by Huguenot -XMI design, innovatively utilising the style of a 1950’s film poster to advertise the development to prospective retailers.
Marcus Wren, Director of Bannon, managing agents of the centre, collected the award at the event held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Ballsbridge said “We are delighted that Athlone has been recognised for creativity and innovation in property marketing. The inspirational design helped to attract the best international retailers to the development which will open with a fantastic mix of tenants on November 1st”
Developers of the scheme were also delighted with the win “We have utilised the highest standards of marketing and design in promoting Athlone Towncentre and are very proud to have won this Award. We now look forward to the launch of the town centre on November 1st when the people of Athlone will be treated to an event to remember, with a series of events over the opening weekend including: music; festivities; entertainment and giveaways to mark the launch of the biggest shopping centre in Ireland this year” says John O’Sullivan of Gallico Developments.
Now in its final stages of completion, Athlone Towncentre will be the largest regional shopping and leisure centre in the country offering an unrivalled retail line up for the Midlands. Developed by Gallico Developments the centre comprises of 300,000 sq.ft. of retail space over two levels with M&S; Zara; H&M; Next; Coast; Warehouse; Monsoon; River Island; Principles; Espirit; Tommy Hilfiger; Best Menswear and Jack Jones among the stores opening. McGorkisk’s Pharmacy will open the largest cosmetic pharmacy in the Midlands which will also house a nail bar. Fields Jewellers, Elvery’s Sport, Dr. & Herbs and Jump Juice will also join the line-up.
