IRISH RED CROSS VISITS ATHLONE TOWN CENTRE
Athlone Towncentre’s Commercial Director Gerry Mulcahy today was delighted to welcomed Mary O’Rourke TD
to the centre to promote The Irish Red Cross. It is a unique humanitarian organisation stated Mr. Mulcahy.

Through its association with the Red Cross / Red Cresent movement worldwide, the Irish Red Cross is recognised in law as responsible for ensuring adherence to the Geneva Conventions on the provision of aid to the sick. Wounded, shipwrecked and prisoners of war in time of war.
The Irish Red Cross are a wonderful organisation Mr. Mulcahy went on to say.” They provide care courses for the sick and elderly, First Aid Services, Safety for Children, Activity for young people, Mountain Rescue, Tracing Services ( establishing the whereabouts and well-being of a person who is missing and through the International Red Cross / Red Cresent movement, the Irish Red Cross helps to alleviate suffering among people around the world”.
