The Midlands Next Top Model has been crowned. From over 100 hopefuls, Mairin Feighery from Tullamore last weekend walked away with a 12 month contract with Catwalk Modelling Agency plus a €1000 shopping spree in Athlone Towncentre.

The search for the Midlands Next Top Model, held in association with Athlone Towncentre, Catwalk Modelling Agency and i105-107FM, began on the 30th May. On a scorching bank holiday weekend, over 100 hopefuls queued in Athlone Towncentre for their chance to strut their stuff on the Catwalk in front of judges, Linda Duffy, former Miss Ireland; Mandy Maher, MD of Catwalk Modelling Agency and Keith Walsh of i105-107’s breakfast with Bernard & Keith.
9 finalists were chosen to participate in Athlone Towncentre’s Summer Fashion Extravaganza, held on Saturday last, as part of the Catwalk Team. Joining forces with Catwalk’s team of professional models, the 9 finalists all showcased clothes from Zara’s impressive Summer lines. After the finalists modelled in three shows on the day, the judges had to agonise over their final choice with Mandy Maher of Catwalk Modelling Agency outlining ‘it was an extremely difficult choice; I am so proud of how all 9 finalists performed today. They conducted themselves in a professional manner throughout the shows and were all excellent in their presentation on the Catwalk’
Throughout the day, customers in Athlone Towncentre were treated to a number of shows which presented the great Summer fashion available in Athlone Towncentre from all the leading brands, many of which were offering great value in their Summer Sales.
Shirley Delahunt, Marketing Manager at Athlone Towncentre said of the day ‘today has been a fantastic day for all the stores in Athlone Towncentre. It was great to have an opportunity to showcase the beautiful lines which are on offer in our stores this Summer and with all the fantastic discounts currently available you do not have to spend a fortune to enjoy all the latest trends. Music to the ears of any recession conscious fashionista. Congratulations must also go to Mairin and indeed to all the finalists in the Midlands Next Top Model, the judges certainly had no easy task in selecting an overall winner, they were all exceptional’
